The GMSA estate, an 18.5 hectares Estate is sited in the Ogun State side of the Isheri North Residential Area. The location is off the Lagos Ibadan Expressway, and behind the OPIC Plaza. It has directly opposite it, the Lagos State Isheri 2 Residential Scheme and other estates in the neigbourhood are Lonex Gardens, Havilla Villa, Lekki Homes etc.
The idea for the Estate was hatched in 2003 When the then executives of the Guinness Management Association (MSA) led by Mr. Chris Erhagbe, sought a Residential Estate that will be serene, organized, accessible and affordable to its members.
To realize its dream, the association employed the services of A.A Ayodele and Sons Nigeria Limited to help source suitable location to site the Estate.
Barrister A .A Ayodele of the A.A. Ayodele and Sons Limited, thereafter worked with the association and brokered a deal between Ogun State Government and the Guinness Management Staff Association(MSA) for the 18+ hectares land where the estate is being developed.
To facilitate this deal, Union Homes Mortgages Limited (a subsidiary of Union Bank Plc) provided the initial financing to acquire the land.
From a thick forest inhabited by monkeys and other wild animals, the site was cleared, levelled, fenced round and made ready for development by a Committee which was headed by Mr. Pat Utomi.
The ownership of the Estate was originally Guinness Managers and Union Homes Senior Managers, but ownership has been extended to other responsible Nigerians. There are about 250 plots in the Estate which are mainly residential with a few commercial plots that will render services to the Estate.
The Estate was originally managed by Guinness Management Association but today, it is being managed by a Board of Trustees and a tenured Executive Committee. The Estate Association is registered with the CAC. There is a global C of O for the Estate with individual consent given to each landowner.
